The buffet redo revealed

I think at my rate of blogging I'm never going to get any followers. I need to start posting more often but my crazy life gets in the way.

I do want to show how the buffet I mentioned in my last post turned out. I stripped the top and restained it, then put 3 coats of polycrylic on it. The bottom is painted in a CeCe Caldwell paint, two coats of that, then waxed with Annie Sloan wax, and finally finished with CeCe Caldwell Chestnut mixed into a Valspar glaze. Geez, I managed to used a lot of products on this.

Just so you remember here is the before: Here are some after photos: The picture feature on blogger has changed since I last made a post. I'll have to figure out how to make the pictures big again and how to arrange them. Anybody have any tips on that?

    PS
To get more comments and followers one thing I learned is to turn off Word Verification: go to Settings-Post and Comments- Show Word Verification- No. It is hard to read and people generally don't like it. Hope that helps get you more followers.

  5. Thanks so much, Cecilia, for that suggestion. I didn't even know that was turned on. I always hate it when I have to go through that verification to leave a comment on other's web sites. I followed your directions, so I hope that I successfully got it turned off. I'm going to go check out your blog now.

  6. Hi Kim,
Your buffet turned out lovely! Gorgeous piece! You might get more followers if you add the Google Friend connect on your side bar. Go to Layout. Click on Add a Gadget in your sidebar area. Then click on more gadgets when the window pops up and add the Followers gadget. You can also add Google+ followers here also. Hope this helps.
